Angler

In a dark void, another Angel swims. Her spiked fins on her shoulders and head catch the light from glowing lures. At her waist is the mouth of a long, mysterious eel-like monster sporting large teeth. Sprouting from her forehead are two illiciums, swirling around the whole canvas, and at the end are glowing stars. Swimming towards the top right corner is me, washed in the glow of the Angler’s lure. The stars from
my eyes float away and with a smile and a clear gaze, I swim towards
the light.

The last piece in the series features Angler, the Angel of Attraction.

In this stage of my emotional journey, I have healed enough that I
am ready to move on from dwelling on my heartbreak and seek out,
or attract, another person, experience, or whatever a brighter future
awaits

Angler was created because I wanted to design an Angel based on
the Pisces zodiac sign. I used inspiration from anglerfish to design a
mermaid-like Angel with two star-like lures since Pisces is represented
by two swimming fish. Angler’s design is one I am most fond of. In
my opinion, she is one of my most intricate and creatively designed
characters. With her expressive features, swirling lures, and long
tail she can be a challenge to draw, but I always find it an enjoyable
experience.
